ROLE

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Epic Willow Analyst to join our healthcare IT team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the design, build, implementation, and support of the Epic Willow application, which supports pharmacy workflows within our organization. This role involves collaborating with clinical staff, IT professionals, and other stakeholders to ensure the effective use of Epic Willow in enhancing patient care and operational efficiency.

RESPONSIBILITIES
 
  • Design, configure, and maintain the Epic Willow application to meet the organization's pharmacy needs.
  • Customize the application to integrate with existing systems and workflows.
  • Develop and execute test plans to ensure the system meets functional requirements.
  • Lead and participate in the implementation and upgrade projects for Epic Willow.
  • Provide ongoing support and maintenance, including troubleshooting issues and optimizing system performance.
  • Collaborate with clinical and operational teams to develop and document workflows.
  • Develop training materials and conduct training sessions for end-users.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for system configuration, workflows, and support procedures.
  • Work closely with pharmacy staff, IT professionals, and other stakeholders to gather requirements and provide solutions.
  • Serve as a liaison between clinical users and technical teams to ensure effective communication and project execution.
  • Ensure that all configurations and processes comply with healthcare regulations and organizational policies.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and support the development of best practices.



EXPERIENCE

 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Healthcare Informatics, Pharmacy, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience with Epic Willow application or other pharmacy information systems.
  • Proven experience in system design, implementation, and support within a healthcare environment.
  • Epic Willow certification required.
  • Additional Epic certifications (e.g., Beacon, Orders) are a plus.
  • Strong understanding of pharmacy workflows and clinical processes.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in project management methodologies and tools.

Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual’s skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, office location and other geographic considerations, as well as other business and organizational needs. With that said, as required by local law, Vaco believes that the following salary range reasonably estimates the base compensation for an individual hired into this position in geographies that require hourly pay range disclosure: $65 - $80.
