ROLE

The Epic Beaker CP Analyst plays a pivotal role in supporting the laboratory and clinical operations by leveraging expertise in the Epic Beaker system to ensure accurate and efficient clinical pathology (CP) processes. This individual is responsible for analyzing, configuring, and optimizing Epic Beaker CP modules, providing technical support, and collaborating with clinical and IT teams to enhance system functionality and performance.

RESPONSIBILITIES
 
  • Design, configure, and maintain Epic Beaker CP modules to support clinical pathology workflows.
  • Perform regular system updates and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
  • Analyze clinical pathology data to identify trends, issues, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Develop and generate reports to support clinical decision-making and operational efficiency.
  • Provide expert-level support for Epic Beaker CP issues, including troubleshooting and resolving system-related problems.
  • Collaborate with IT and clinical staff to address and resolve system issues promptly.
  • Lead or participate in projects related to the implementation, upgrade, or optimization of Epic Beaker CP modules.
  • Develop project plans, manage timelines, and coordinate with stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomes.
  • Create and deliver training materials and sessions for end-users on Epic Beaker CP functionalities and best practices.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for system configurations, procedures, and workflows.
  • Ensure that Epic Beaker CP configurations meet quality standards and comply with healthcare regulations.
  • Conduct regular audits and reviews to ensure data integrity and system performance.
  • Work closely with laboratory staff, clinicians, and other stakeholders to understand their needs and ensure system alignment.
  • Facilitate effective communication between clinical and IT teams to enhance system utilization and resolve issues.



EXPERIENCE

 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Health Information Management, Computer Science, Biomedical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience with Epic Beaker CP modules or similar laboratory information systems.
  • Certification as an Epic Beaker CP Analyst is required.
  • In-depth knowledge of Epic Beaker CP functionality, including order management, result reporting, and interfacing.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and reporting software.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare regulations and laboratory practices.

Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual’s skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, office location and other geographic considerations, as well as other business and organizational needs. With that said, as required by local law, Vaco believes that the following salary range reasonably estimates the base compensation for an individual hired into this position in geographies that require hourly pay range disclosure: $70 - $85.
